Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at the Airport
Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport), you will be met by our representative. After meet and greet you will be transferred to your hotel where you will rest and have a short pre-safari briefing from your Guide.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We shall then pack up and drive to Tarangire National Park after we have had breakfast. A safari spot in the Northern Circuit of Tanzania. You will find very big herds of Elephant in this park. Big cats are also abundant. Your driver shall then pick up a nice spot along the Tarangire River for you to have lunch. After spending some valuable time game driving in the park you then shall head off driving towards Ngorongoro Highlands where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Highlands to Central Serengeti
We’ll take an early breakfast, as we’ve got a big day of exploration and adventure ahead of us! We will begin the day with a drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way, we will pass through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to glimpse Cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth. Witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and be amazed by the sheer number of animals that roam these grassy plains. Before the sun sets we shall drive to our lodge for an overnight.
Day 4: Central Serengeti to North Serengeti
After enjoying our breakfast at the Four Seasons Lodge we start driving towards the Kogatende region (Northern Serengeti). This long drive to Kogatende gives you an opportunity to experience and admire the sheer size of the Park. You will also drive through diverse habitats and sceneries enhancing your experience. Upon arrival at the Kogatende region, we shall go out in search of both the Wildebeest Migration and the famous Big Five.
Day 5: Full Day North Serengeti
After breakfast, we will start our game drive around the Kogatende area, searching around the kopjes looking for carnivores and the large migration groups that will be preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya.
North Serengeti is home to large numbers of hippos and Nile crocodiles, the Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you’re patient and a little lucky, you may even get to witness the death-defying crossing itself where wildebeest and zebras brave the river’s currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank. After spending time catching up with these spectacular natural events we drive back to our lodge for an overnight.
Day 6: North Serengeti to Central Serengeti
Today after breakfast we leave in the morning heading to Central Serengeti. We shall be game driving en route catching up with the Serengeti wildlife. Central Serengeti has abundant wildlife to enjoy all year long. We then shall head to our lodge before dusk to enjoy a well-deserved rest.
Day 7: Full Day Central Serengeti
We spend the entire day at Central Serengeti today. We leave after breakfast heading out in search of the cheetahs and other predators. We shall have lunch at noon and proceed with the game drive until the evening when we shall return to the lodge for rest and dinner.
Day 8: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater for overnight
We shall have breakfast in the morning then head for the last game drive in Serengeti National Park. Today we game drive here for a few hours before we start game driving en route as we leave the Serengeti Behind. We slowly approach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we shall spend the night.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
We shall have an early breakfast before we descend down the crater. The crater is 610 meter deep and it supports animals all year long. Hyenas, jackals, lions, zebras, wildebeests, kori bustards and hippos are common here. After we have lunch in the afternoon we set off for another short game drive. We then shall ascend and drive to Lake Eyasi to spend the night.
Day 10: Departure
Today we drive you the airport. It will be sad to say goodbye after spending the last couple of days together. As we wave you goodbye we hope to see you again.
