An unforgettable trip, a safari in Tanzania can be an excellent way to see the country. Explore the wild side of Africa on a 4-day safari tour in Tanzania. Visit some of East Africa’s most iconic destinations, including Mount Kilimanjaro and Lake Manyara National Park, as you explore this diverse country from top to bottom with our expert guides. A 4 days tour is enough, but if one has more time, it would only make them happier as they will have ample opportunity of exploring different places without feeling exhausted or tired, which may happen with shorter stays.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast we head into the Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. We will have lunch in the afternoon and head to Karatu in the evening for an overnight.

Day 2: Game en Route to Serengeti National Park

We’ll take an early breakfast, as we’ve got a big day of exploration and adventure ahead of us! We will begin the day with a drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way, we will pass through the rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you might be lucky enough to glimpse Cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth. Witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and be amazed by the sheer number of animals that roam these grassy plains. Before the sun sets we shall drive to our lodge in Central Serengeti for an overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today we spend the entire day at the Serengeti. Going for a game drive in the morning to catch up with the morning wildlife. We shall return to our lodge at noon for lunch and a short rest. We then shall resume our game drive. Lions are abundant at Serengeti National Park. With a lucky day we may be able to catch up with hunting cheetahs. We shall then head back to our lodge in Central Serengeti for an overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After your breakfast, you will go down to a crater and start to enjoy the full drive over there. When it comes to Ngorongoro Crater, it is said to be one of the crowded wildlife areas across the globe. They are highly supported by fodder as well as water supply. Also, the crater mainly supports the huge number of animals like hippo, warthog, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and more. Now, once the lunch is over, you will be taken back to Arusha in the end.

Day 5: Drive Back to Arusha​
